SIMPLEX Systems - Self Test Options Overview

From a previously recorded webinar: Ground breaking Self Test features are now available on ES Fire Panels supporting IDNAC Technology and TrueAlert ES Addressable Notification.  Self Tests can be run during commissioning or scheduled servicing of a system containing IDNAC circuits with TrueAlert ES appliances.  Reports can then be generated to document the test results.  An inspector may also run these reports and share them with a customer.  In this webinar, we discuss the three Self Tests: Manual, Automated, and Scheduled, and explain the best applications for using each mode.

ANSUL® Lithium-Ion Risk Prevention System

Certification Training for Lithium-Ion Risk Prevention Systems

The ANSUL® Lithium-Ion Risk Prevention System is designed to monitor Lithium-Ion batteries used in the Energy Storage market. Early warning detection of off-gases/toxic vapors indicates when there is a malfunction within the battery cell, allowing action to be taken to help prevent thermal runaway from occurring. Thermal runaway can cause the failure of a single cell to propagate, creating a domino effect into adjacent cells, resulting in a catastrophic event.

The ANSUL® Lithium-Ion Risk Prevention System integrates with an AUTOPULSE Detection and Control Panel and an INERGEN® or SAPPHIRE® Fire Suppression System to create a comprehensive detection, alarm and suppression solution. This integrated system will be capable of communicating with the Battery Management System (BMS) to shut down the failing batteries, activate the Fire Suppression System to mitigate off-gas ignition, and activate local and remote alarms to inform personnel and emergency response teams.

This 4-hour online course will introduce students to lithium-ion energy storage hazards and early warning detection systems. Students will learn all aspects of the design and installation of the new ANSUL® Lithium-Ion Risk Prevention System.

Highlights

  • Explain the fundamentals of lithium-ion energy storage
  • Identify the key principals of early warning detection
  • Design of the ANSUL® Lithium-Ion Risk Prevention System
  • Learn installation and maintenance of these systems

  • Course Information

  • Duration: 4 hours
  • Target Audience: Authorized Distributors Only
  • Certification: Product Certification
