Founded in 1940, the world-famous ANSUL FIRE SCHOOL is located on a 350-acre campus in Marinette, WI USA.  Over the years, the school has trained over 50,000 first-responders from all over the world.  Our instructors are dedicated professionals whose highest priority is the safety of our students. The three-day program includes a mixture of classroom and field instruction – with heavy emphasis on live hands-on firefighting using cartridge-operated and stored pressure extinguishers, wheeled extinguishers, and hoseline apparatus.  Each student will learn proper techniques while fighting 22 different types of flammable liquid and gas fires simulating actual hazards found in industry.

The Foam Service & Maintenance program will provide an overview of the basic types of fixed foam systems and will also focus on the correct service and maintenance procedures for the various ANSUL systems.  Students will have an opportunity for actual hands-on experience on foam testing procedures, bladder tank filling and more.  Live fire demonstrations of AFFF, Class A, and High Expansion Foam, a tour of ANSUL’s manufacturing facilities, and a demonstration of foam testing in accordance with UL 162 test procedures is also included in this program. The training is geared towards all personnel involved in the specification, design, installation or commissioning of foam systems.

According to EC/842/2006 all businesses working with - and therefore having personal handling, servicing, commissioning, etc.  - systems containing any fluorinating gases (F-Gases) will be required to attend official training.

This overall course is run by FIA (UK). The practical part of the session to be covered by our Tyco F-Gas Trainer.
